Meet the Staff - Susana A. Garcia
Susana Garcia is an Adjunct Consultant specializing in Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Social Media Planning. Susana originally began her career in Catholic education as a Religious Studies Teacher, and she holds a Masters of Arts in Spirituality from Santa Clara University. Her leadership roles have included Religious Studies Department Chair as well as Director of Campus Ministry and Retreat Coordinator. Her passion for making Catholic education come alive for students extends into her ability to tell the stories that show why families should choose a Catholic education. Since 2011, Susana has been directing enrollment programs at Notre Dame High School in San Jose, CA, and currently holds the title of Vice Principal for Enrollment and Public Relations. The story of this school itself is a testament to effective marketing and enrollment management programs. In the late 1990’s, the school faced a crisis in enrollment and serious facilities issues with a condemned building on its landlocked, downtown San Jose campus. Strong leadership, careful planning, and targeted marketing have led to the success that Notre Dame continues to enjoy today with strong student enrollment and ongoing enrollment management programs under Susana’s careful direction. Her understanding of enrollment management is further informed by her experience as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor at Santa Clara University before beginning her teaching career.
